REVIEW: -

At last, the second Duke Nukem. Will it promise to be as good and popular as the first? Let's find out, shall we?

The answer to the first question is "yes" but this one has a lot of changes. A lot more "blood, guts and a hell of a lot of killing and swearing." All these points make Duke Nukem: Time to Kill live up to the stupid certificate of 18. Another change is that this game has a completely different view. In the first you had a view from Duke's eyes (Quake style) but in Time to Kill you have the view from behind Duke (Tomb Raider style). This view is not as good in some aspects and bad in others. Good points are you know where you are walking, but the bad point is that you can't get a clear view from your gun. Not only does this red dot give you a good shot but also an excellent choice of where to shoot.

The graphics are practically the same as the Tomb Raider, in the way of running about and pulling switches to open doors. But, you can never beat Tomb Raider because you get an exciting view of Lara's butt and more importantly, her breasts. The graphics are not as sharp as in Tomb Raider, but they are very close.

The game play, as in everything else, is very similar to Tomb Raider. You go running around, killing living things, just to get to further missions. In Time to Kill you have to kill over-weight pigs dressed up as police, cowboys and many more disguises. You also get a lot of weapons, ranging from a pistol to a huge RPG. This will kill anything, I mean anything, in its way. As you go through the level and kill pigs, you pick up ammo, medi-packs and keys. These aid you in further missions.

In Duke Nukem: Time to Kill there is the exciting feature of a two-player split screen mode. This mode allows you to enjoy a two player game in a more exciting way by fighting head to head in a dual. You get to choose from about six battle arenas which are packed with weapons and ammo. You can also pick up jet packs which allows you to fly up to higher places and surprise your enemy by firing two RPG missiles onto his/her head.

Overall, Duke Nukem: Time to Kill is a rather splendid game which lives up to its expectations and allows you to enjoy a platform game with a lot of killing. Strategy and brain-power are the main ingredients necessary to find keys and crystals in order to pass through to the next level. The game could not be much improved because it has the whole hog. It will definitely give game players all round excitement every time they play it.

Here at CCM Reviews, we will have to make this game a real hit and give it 90% for the way that it is based. I hope that more games like this are made.
